The seventh soundance festival berlin, held from June 15-18, 2023, at DOCK11, celebrates the intricate interplay between dance and live music over four evenings. The festival features performances where musical gestures meet choreography, structures of notation connect dance and music, and the unfamiliar becomes audible, with filigree landscapes opening up in the sound of the voice. A new pilot format, soundance expanded, focuses on the artistic collaboration between international Berlin dancers/choreographers and musicians in their own choreographic works. The festival is a co-production of b.arts.u - berlin arts united and DOCK ART, funded by the Senate Department for Culture and Europe.
