Forecast work-stay: The Larva

'The Larva' is a collaborative performance between composer and performer María Gabriela Rubio Hernández and vocalist Elaine Mitchener, developed over a six-month mentorship within the Forecast program. The piece integrates electroacoustic music, sound poetry, and tactile materials to explore themes of decomposition and silence. It features reinterpretations of poetic fragments as sonic gestures and includes a short replica by Mitchener as an artistic response. The performance is part of the Forecast program, an international mentorship initiative by Skills e.V., funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, and a member of the European network LINA.
