R.E.D. Residencies 2025

Tanzfabrik Berlin is offering five artistic research residencies in 2025 for Berlin-based choreographers and artists working at the intersection of dance and community engagement. The program focuses on projects that engage with communities, experiment with new modes of encounter, or propose alternative models of knowledge and embodiment. Residencies are designed as artistic research, emphasizing experimentation and exploration over producing a final piece or performance.

Cost: €5,000 per residency
Scholarships: At least one residency spot is reserved for BIPoC artists and one for artists with children
Requirements: Applicants must be Berlin-based choreographers and dancers (official registration in Berlin required), not enrolled in a university or training program at the time of the residency, and not receiving any project funding or grant from the State of Berlin in 2025
