"Physical Profession" - Full Time Training

The MimeCenter Köln offers a comprehensive two-year professional training in Mime and Physical Theatre, focusing on corporeal mime techniques developed by Etienne Decroux. Students engage in intensive studies of technique, improvisation, composition, and repertoire, complemented by courses in actor's training (Lecoq), classical pantomime (Marcel Marceau), theatre mask work, and dance (Ballet, Laban). The program emphasizes body work, developing modern body and motion studies to enhance physical precision and creative expression. Graduates are equipped to pursue careers as performers, directors, composers, teachers, and authors in contemporary physical theatre.
