Contemporary Dance Program at The Carret Dance Conservatory

The Contemporary Dance Program at The Carret Dance Conservatory offers intensive training in modern and contemporary dance, ballet, conditioning, composition, and performance. Designed for intermediate or advanced dancers aged 15 and above, the program aims to produce versatile, musical, and technically proficient dancers capable of meeting today's professional demands and performance standards. Students participate in regular classes in Graham, Limon, and Afro-Contemporary Cuban styles, as well as ballet technique, conditioning, composition, contact, and Flying Low technique. Performance opportunities are integral, with students performing in a minimum of two dance showcases each year at downtown professional theatres.
